This week the Tuesday night small groups met Thursday night instead. This Thursday we worked on session five and came up with our action plans to present to all the small groups on Monday Dec,15. In my group we came up with three action plans, all of which are excellent. I am sure the rest of the groups have a lot of helpful action plans too. Anyway,the Action Forum will be held on Dec. 15 at our local highschool. We will be having a local restaraunt provide the dinner and then we will go over all the group’s action plans.

Yesterday night my small group met at our local high school to work on the next section. This was our third meeting. Our group has six members and two facilitators; but last night we only had four members and one facilitator. Last night we worked on the fourth section, and I felt that the meeting went really well. Our group has come up with great ideas so far, and are really excited to confront our town’s problems. One thing I know our group has realized is that we can’t solve all the town’s issues, but we can improve some. So far our group has been doing a great job; as I’m sure the other groups are too. keep up the great work groups!

Eureka held it’s kick-off dinner on November 6. The dinner was a huge success, with 60 people gathered there to learn more about Horizons. 40 out of the 60 people present,signed up for the small groups. The small groups started the following week and have been going smoothly. Most groups are on the fourth section, some on the third. The groups have been coming up with great ideas of ways to help the community; and are off to a good start.
